Mose L. Highsmith is the owner and founder of Highsmith Law Firm, P.A. He is an experienced attorney with an emphasis in the areas of family law. Mose Highsmith is also experienced in cases involving personal injury, wrongful death, police administration and tribal law. Mose Highsmith has served as an Assistant District Attorney, Sheriff’s legal advisor and staff attorney, Cherokee tribal attorney, and private practice trial attorney.
Mose Highsmith is a Certified Parenting Coordinator. North Carolina law allows a judge to appoint a Parenting Coordinator in “High Conflict” child custody cases. The Parenting Coordinator assists parents in making decisions that are in the best interest of the children.
Mose Highsmith grew up in Wilmington, North Carolina. He attended high school at Pender Academy in Rocky Point, and was a Criminal Justice major at the University of North Carolina in Wilmington. Mose is a former Wilmington Police Officer, and Emergency Preparedness Specialist at the Brunswick Nuclear Plant.
Graduating from the Campbell University School of Law in 1996, Mose Highsmith moved to western North Carolina where he served as:
